Rescuing Pekingese in Need for Over 20 Years

Tess

Tess was rescued from a back yard breeder who no longer had any use for her.  She is 11 pounds of pure sweetness.  All this dog wants is to be held and loved, talked  and sung to.   When she realizes you just want to love her, she’s in heaven and her tail wags continually while you are holding her.   She is as gentle as they come and very playful and patient with her young foster sister, Chloe.  Chloe will chew on Tess’ ears, bite her paws, jump on her back and yap at her, all the while, Tess will enjoy the playtime.  When she’s playing and patrolling the back yard, she acts much younger than the 8-9 years that we think she is. 
 

Due to an old ulcer in her left eye, she needs eye medication, yet she is been very patient.  She is not used to walking on a leash, but we are working on that.  She does enjoy going out in the stroller though, and meeting other dogs and people.  She is potty trained both on wee-wee pads and outside.  This bundle of sweetness will give some lucky parent lots of love and joy.

We adopt in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia and require home and vet checks.  Tess’ adoption fee is $250.00.
