We rescued this sweet older girl from one of the most over crowded shelters we have ever dealt with. Her foster family is still evaluating her but we wanted to share the information we have so far: Holly is very sweet and likes to climb onto her human’s lap to get love and attention. Her foster siblings don’t seem to bother her and she appears to be housetrained. She has dry eyes and needs drops twice a day, but she is very good and lets her foster mom medicate her without any problems. This precious baby is about 14 pounds, but doesn't look that big. Holly is up to date on vaccines and is spayed.
If you are looking for a cuddling companion to be your buddy, please consider Holly.
Holly’s adoption fee is $250 and she can be adopted in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Home checks and vet checks are required.
Update January 13, 2009: Holly's foster mom reports that this baby girl is being a "snuggle bunny puppy." She is definitely a lap dog, as in "NOW - I am to be in your lap Now." Since coming into foster care, we have noticed that Holly seems to do better if she eats three times a day vs. twice. If she's fed twice a day she gets some stomach upset, so we've been splitting her breakfast into two separate meals and that seems to do the trick. By the time we feed her dinner, she is ready to eat again and doesn't have any problems.
