This sweet boy came to us from a Virginia shelter. We were contacted because his time was up so we named him Chance since we were his last chance. His temporary foster mom reports that he is displaying a very sweet temperament; follows her around all over the house. Talk about having a faithful buddy by your side! He is very comfortable around the other dogs in the house and if they fuss at him, he just walks off, as if to say: "Okay, I won't bother you, but I'd like to be friends and get on that big pillow with you." Chance has quickly adjusted to his new environment and acts as if he's always been there! He's GREAT! When Chance arrived into rescue he was suffering with severe dry eye which had gone untreated for so long causing him some vision loss. However, with daily drops which he will need for the rest of his life, we are hopeful that some of his vision can be restored. At his last check-up, his eyes were definitely showing improvement.
Chance does have hearing loss from neglect. He can hear the other dogs barking and can hear whistles. This hearing loss doesn't bother him a bit and he just a happy boy.
He weighs about 13 1/2 pounds and is PERFECT about getting his eye meds administered. Chance, who is housebroken, has been neutered, is up to date on vaccines, and is heartworm negative. We think he is about 8 years old.
