I was rescued out of a rural shelter. They said I was a pure Peke, but I suspect I'm not! I have a bit of a nose, but my personality will win over that! I'm so sweet and happy. I'm between one and two years, old, under 13 pounds and in excellent health. I have a little luxating patella on one leg (knee), but it's so slight no surgery is needed or even wanted! I love dogs, people and am very inquisitive. I'm very young, so I still have a lot of energy. The other dogs in my foster home are older, so they watch me. Maybe I'll get them up and playing.
I get along very well with other dogs, people and am very inquisitive.
I am being fostered in Harrisonburg, VA, but transport is easily arranged if you are interested in adopting me. My adoption fee is: $350, and I can be adopted in Virginia, DC and/or Maryland. A home and vet check are required.

6/19-Update from Aspen's Foster Mom: Aspen's doing great -- we still occasionally see the gimpiness when she gets up from laying quietly for awhile, but it goes away quickly. The vet thinks it may just be because of her 'confirmation' -- her front legs are awfully bowed!
Housebreaking is going great -- she responds really well to crating -- and while proper leash manners may take awhile because she wants to say hi to anybody and everybody :-), she is settling in really well.
Today was beauty spa day for Ruby, so Aspen tagged along, and my fabulous groomer gave her a cut that really suits her. I'm glad I took these pictures when I did -- five minutes later the hair ornament became a chew toy. :-)
I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again -- she's gonna make someone a very lucky pet parent.
